a right royal chav telling off and Percy does Burghley…
Hello everyone,
Extremely full week this week. Don’t know where to start really! Firstly an apology to Doo Doo, or aka Durkje…. I will call you Doo Doo cos I’m OBVIOUSLY dyslexic like Jess so I now know why you are known as Doo Doo, its so damm easy to spell. Being Irish bred I don’t know the score on tongue tatoos. Where I come from they are chav, obviously where she comes from they are the ‘in thing’ like Ariat boots and a Newmarket Rug. I have something more exclusive than a tatoo, but I’m not letting on….. Talking of rugs, dear old Pippa reminding me of clipping, my pet hate, its so ticklish, I just can’t bear it, love my rugs tho, so stylish….
With the schools going back this week was time for my mum to get to work full time (ish!) and seeing her first thing in the morning sent my heart rate up a notch or 5, however, it wasn’t too long before I realised that I do get my quota in the field and actually, she always has the odd treat in her pocket so she is quite welcome in my book! Percy was the first one out this week, and boy didn’t we know it! After mum checked comments on my blog, she felt that he needed a trip out… not quite what he was thinking off, cos she took him to Matfield which is our local cross country course, ha ha….. Apparently he did ok, he did ALL this ditches, his pet hate! And both him and mum came home with big grins on their faces. He is such a nightmare to live with tho, he does reckon that one of the ditches he did was exactly like the Landrover Hollow at Burghley and just went on and on when we watched the highlights on Sunday. Congrats to Tam, wasn’t he just fab! Its my ambition to have his enthusiasum and I really hope it kicks in for next year. Pip went out clubbing the following day, daft if you ask me, don’t get the getting up really early lark just for a boogie, according to her mum, she had a ‘tickle in her tail’ is that a kind of dance? She went on about it for days. She gets right on my withers.
With all the wet weather this week, a lot of entertainment was cancelled this weekend, but Bert managed to get out for a spot of XC with the newly wed who couldn’t wait to get out in the saddle after lots of pasta and wine in Italy. According to his mum when she got back, he was a bit sticky, what does she expect with all that pasta??
Boysi is laid up with an infection in his leg, but is on the road to recovery rather than on the road to the vets, much to the relief of Alices’ mum. All the girls have had a quiet week but think that the diary is starting to get busy for them before the end of the month, I think Chilham will be a yard outing, so lets hope its a successful one too.
We all send our thoughts, flippers and snorkles to poor old Tom, Sam and Teddy after the awful floods in the North East, but after watching the News I think we should be sending them wet suits and oxygen tanks, Tom should pack up his feed bowls and get his quarters back down south. He could go clubbing with Pippa and show her a move or two!
Well, here’s to a drier week this week and hope you all manage keep on kicking until next weekend, I’m off to watch the ‘Burghley After Show Party’ on terrestrial tv. Apparently Shaabrak is a right scream if he has too much HorseHage, classic entertainment. lol B xx
