Hello, welcome to my page, Percy by name and perfect by nature. I have taken over the rubber reins so to speak as Blarney has been having a gap year and having failed his 1st year at uni has been put back to kindi for some re-schooling.
There have been a few changes at Silverhill over the past year so I will get you up to speed with who is here these days.
Brandy is still here, although not doing much these days and has her own pill box, she is rather like Lou Beale from Eastenders, for those who remember. We have a young Spanish lady joined us last month, pretty but curvy and has bouts of screaming obscenities in her mother tongue, at least none of us understand what she is saying. Pippa is still here, still the same although has given up pony clubbing for burlesque these days, now a well seasoned hunter she also still tries her hoof at dressage, but lets face it, she has a long medium trot to go before she catches me up, although by the way she goes on you would think she is having lessons from Tortillas himself. Remi and Kracker joined us in the summer, Kracker a lovely chap, has a war injury from his time in ‘Nam’ or so he says, although having watched Robin Williams in a film about that I cannot remember horses being there, apparently he suffered a loss from his anatomy which gave him medical reasons to be retired and sent home. I believe we call it castration here. Remi is a good egg, quiet and reserved and speaks like Pirot… He’s from Belgium. Like myself, he used to show jump, I hear he was quite good. Now he has taken up dressage and has made quite a good switch over, we have good long chats about it as he always asks me about different venues I’ve been to over here and what their facilities are like. Finn is another Irish lad, being badly influenced by Blarney, like a couple of teenagers in the field, although they are separated they still chat over the electric fence. I do hope B isn’t going to lead him astray he is not a bad chap just young and very easily influenced. He has been out already and been busy and even has had a placing at dressage. Think he is lined up for a career in eventing…. God help him! Tilly is still here although doesn’t do much these days except gossip all evening long about Tortillas and Justin Beiba, she is hoping now she has semi retired that she will be sent to stud and is hoping to go to Germany… dream on… Lotte has been with us a while now and is slowly but surely making her mark, a young mum who has got herself back onto her feet, off benefits and is now starting to map out a career for herself, currently trying her hoof at everything, but said she will draw the line at Polo, mainly because it requires a turn of speed and she likes to take her time to think about things. And then there is Blarney, back from an intense education, or so we thought, but seemed to have spent most of his time on the haylage and not paying attention, my parents have spent a packet on his education with no return…. Typical. They have now drawn the line and closed the wallet up until he can prove himself. I hear a new mistress is in line for him so lets watch this space. We have the old boys, Dinky and Fred, that spend most of their time bickering at each other and the moment they are separated screaming (and farting as they do so) at each other, age does a terrible thing to their bodily functions. They currently have sheltered accommodation at the near end of the yard with a panic button should they require emergency assistance from the house.
And me? Well, lets just say, the money that was flowing up the Blarney, has now changed course and is coming home to Papa, namely ME. Having had some time off last year from a very nasty virus, this year has been spent polishing up my dancing shoes and whilst I haven’t done much affiliated, I have been out twice at a new level of Advanced Medium… the first attempt was a bit scary and I knew I was supposed to wait for mum to tell me to change my canter lead, but I got a bit uptight and it looked like an audition for Riverdance as I changed then realised I got it wrong and then changed back and then she shifted her weight and I HAD to change… her bum shouldn’t be so big and she should learn to control it. Anyway, more work at home and I have been doing changes across the diagonal every 3 strides…. Well, sometimes its 3, sometimes 4, and when her bum is out of control I can change everystride. Its all very exciting and now I’ve been given the challenge of writing for the website my time is very busy.
Anyhow, its time to go, the girls are talking about nail extensions as the farrier is here tomorrow and Tilly is thinking of having some nail art done…. John has his work cut out with this lot…

An old friend visits and an unexpected dressage result
Posted March 29, 2009 by hallidayvickyCategories: Uncategorized
Hi all,
Welcome to another blog albeit yet another long gap inbetween! Mum forgot the password and user name for my page, its a age thing I think, either that or far too much vino which drowns the brain cells you know. Anyhow, how are we all??
We have had an old friend come to stay with us for the last month, Big Bob, I’d never met the chap before, although Percy knew him from long ago, seems he remembered Percy from long ago too and hasn’t spoken a word to him since he has been with us. He has a lasting effect. Anyhow, he is an interesting old boy, great stories of the hunting field in the good old days and its certainly keeps Pippa quiet while she sits and listens to him for hours! He only with us short term as he has had sore legs and our Aunty Karen Coombe has been popping in to keep an eye on him every few days, he is a very good patient. Of course, Percy doesn’t like having his nose pushed out and is STILL coughing, so poor Aunty K cannot get down the yard without Percy asking for her opinion on something or hanging his head over the door gasping for breath…. do you know that he has an inhaler now?? Mum said it was typical that she would end up with the only asmatic horse in the world. He is on steriods so I expect he will end up with Moobs.
Chloe has been a bit of a dark horse it seems, (well, she is grey actually, its just an expression we use) and there was a photo of her in a magazine jumping, must have been in her younger days as she was a darker grey than what she is now, anyhow, P was well impressed and has put a copy on his bedroom wall and even got her to sign it. Pip didn’t mention it as she thinks she is the only page 3 pony at the yard, she has taken to walking round the yard in a pair of Katie Price’s pink fluffy mules, speaking in a loud voice about her agent, that young lady will end up as a centre spread with the staples in her unmentionables if shes not sensible about the jobs she picks! Ruby has got a new trainer, I think she must be a psychologist too as she seems to have conquered her fear of fillers and appears to be quite chilled these days about her jumping, maybe she is taking drugs, I hear there is some Temperlax in the feed room, my mate Lennie used to take that and he was more chilled out than Jimi Hendrix was in the 60′s, powerful stuff that. Poor Brandy got mugged in the field and was left feeling very out of sorts, rumor has it that the Hoody in box 2 had something to do with it, but she is denying everything. Mind you, she is not quite right that one, she stays out all night while the rest of us are tucked up in our straw, me thinks she is up to no good. Pips hunt season has finished and she is brushing up for the show season which is impending and trying to sort out more photo shoots in between times. Our new fella Ryan is just getting over a nasty wound on his leg…. the hoody strikes again…. but has started jumping and some fittening work, he has quite a unique style of jumping and is not for the faint hearted rider, mind you, when he gets to the fence, he pings over like he has springs on his heels, he has given me new inspiration for this year and I’m wondering just how much I can scare my mum. Chloe and Rubes are starting to polish off their tendon boots as the outdoor season is about to start, more news on them next time I hope. Tilly has been out for a spot of combined training and came third in her class which was fab, apparantly she is signing up for a bit of BE this year which is exciting, I get to go out and play with my girlfriend!! Will just like a proper date. Mum took me and Percy out to the Combined Training too, which was quite exciting with an unexpected result, I did knuckle down in the warm up but it was quite distracting trying to do dressage while everyone is watching and whooping it up in the show jumping in the next room! I just couldn’t help but try to peek over the door, still the upshot was I got a better dressage result than the Diva, he hasn’t spoken to me since and blames his cough, although mum said he never coughed once in his test, I just had one fence down, it was a bit small, and I stopped at the same jump as Percy, it was just a bit loud and scary as you came off the corner, but once I had sussed it, it was as easy as pie. Percy just had the one stop so did get himself in the ribbons while I was just outside the placings, still I have ribbed him about my 66% since. Next stop for me is a spot of show jumping, I will spend the next week practising ‘The Ryan Technique’ and have a go for real in a proper ring. Ta ta for now, and will blog you all soon. Welcome to February, nothing was written for a while as we had quite a tough month in January and mum didn’t feel that we should be reporting anything as she called it Black January, normally she said its Black January as she is paying off a huge credit card bill from Christmas, however this year she is still paying off a huge credit card bill but it not for Christmas shopping!
It seems that the bus for horsey heaven kept coming round the block to pick up a few friends, must be good there cos none of them ever come back. The entire cast of Bell Equine have all played a part at the yard and my mum reckons we have managed to cover the wages bill there for a month, she is hoping they do necter points and a loyality card, although she would skip the home delivery anytime.
We said goodbye to Ellis and Bertie not long after Boysi, and we hope they are having a fab time wherever they may be and hope they missed the snow which was ever so cold on my toes!
Percy, Tilly, Brandy and Chloe have all been coughing for Hickstead, poor old Chloe has got horsey asthma so Ruby really needs to mind her manners about her farting, after all, we all get old one day and controlling bodily functions do not come that easy, the older you get. Chlo said she is feeling better, particulary now she has moved into a double aspect condo, Ruby’s to be precise, she is SSOOOO upset about that! At least Chloe can stick her a**e out the window now and save her shame. Percy had a trip to the clinic…. some said it was the STD clinic but thats just a cruel rumour. Seems the silly bugger has a ‘chronic cough’……. thats what it said on his Doctors sick note, he has been signed off for 4 weeks…. 4 WEEKS! FOR A COUGH!!!!!!!! Mum said private health care is not as good as the NHS as they don’t live in the real world. He is still shuffling round his stable in his slippers demanding to watch Philip and Fern, mum said while he was off he could catch up on some reading .. particularly the new dressage tests that have come out for 2009. Anyway, talking of dressage.. YAWN.. I went out and strutted my heels for the first time this year…. mum said I’m not allowed to talk about that either………. anyway, it was nice to get out and meet up with some chums, Black Mama and the Ginger Ninja… Apparantly, the GN is seeing the Doc on Tuesday, but he just has to wiggle his bum and stick his toes out for and hour and a half in front of him.. not sure what is going on there.
Tilly has been poorly too and seems she has been suffering from the same cough as Percy, some say it wasn’t airbourne connected either that she has the same bug, so I wonder what they have been up to? Answers on a postcard please. Brandy was coughing for a while but seems to have got over it before the doc could see her, reckon being 17 she didn’t want the Horsey Heaven Express bus coming back for her, she even rodeoed round her box when the dentist came to do everyone’s teeth just to show she wasn’t a pushover, gave us all a laugh and a few pointers for the next time he comes towards us with that rasp. And Pippa??????? Well….. A double page spread in a local mag…… Percy said it was called Loaded and she took her rug off, but turns out he only ever got a single page write up in the same mag so I think a little bitterness may have creeped in, anyway, her and the girls were so excited when it came out and partied 2 nights in a row. Apparantly she is getting another write up next month, a local celeb I think, she hasn’t done much since it came out except get her nails and hair done and keeps talking about her agent and what jobs she is going for, she reckons come 2012 with the right experience, she will be able to open the olympics alongside Katie Price. Hope she can get us some free tickets to get in!
Anyhow, we do have a new recruit on the yard, and Big Black Mama needs to meet her understudy, informally known as Nog, heard a lot of other nicknames, but I got told it was un-pc and wasn’t allowed to write about that either! She won’t be here for long as she is getting sold but she is a little mover and shaker!
So upwards and onwards into 2009 and lets hope we have endured the bad luck for at least the next 5 years! And lets hope we get some new friends in soon, Pippa is so loud these days will be nice to hear from a newbie!
Take care all in this cold weather and blog to you soon xx
A Gallop into 2009…..

Well, hello and happy new year to you all! Hope you all had a great christmas and new years eve party and are feeling refreshed after some well earnt time off. I know myself and Percy have been itching to get back into some serious work since we had a break and are looking forward to the 2009 season.
We had a great time in Spain, although the weather wasn’t brilliant but a daily walk down by the sea blew away our UK cobwebs even tho some afternoon were spent on the wii in the apartment, mum was ace at bowling but Percy just could not get his coordination with the tennis and prefered to practice his yoga when we had all gone to bed. At least we didn’t have to spend time by the pool, he was sooo embarrasing prancing round in his thong when he bought it that I was glad we didn’t have to endure it round the poolside, he would have put the germans off their choc-ices. There was however, one embarrasing moment coming back through customs when they decided to pull him aside and check his sombero for drugs, honestly, did he really think he could smuggle Bute back without being caught, those sniffer dogs are just too clever by far. Anyway, he got away with it by telling them they were prescription drugs and a phone call to our helpful vet confirmed that in fact it was possible that he had been prescribed Bute in the last year, so after 4 days they let us go…….
Well, it was back to the grind quite slowly when we got home, although the yard had been busy. Pippa had been clubbing and prancing, honestly, where does she get her energy from. Tilly had been notching up a few ribbons in the dressage areana, there had been some that had said that she would never do dressage, well, she has proved those wrong! The gorgeous girls had been out showjumping, Ruby gets so over excited by it all, I think she should quit the E numbers and see if it chills her a bit, Chloe has had a bit of time out for medical reasons, she has been quite quiet about it so we all think its ‘Womans Problems’, actually, not quite sure what that means, but when Percy says it, he says it very quitely and raises his eyebrows, so must be serious… Brandy and Bert had been chilling too, although Bert has had some probs and needs to get the physio to sort his neck and shoulders out as he had been a bit twingy since the end of his season, mind you, didn’t really help that he tried to bank most stuff that he was unsure of this year rather than jump it, but he is irish…
We did say a sad goodbye to our friend Boysi over christmas, he hadn’t been right for a long time and his owner took a brave decision to send him to the ‘Stables on the Upper Deck’. Apparantly it only has one escalator that goes up so they can’t pop back for a cuppa and I didn’t manage to get his mobile number before he left, but I know he has been sorely missed in the last week. We also have a new kid on the block, he seems quite a nice chap and very pleasant although Percy is being quite vile to him, he has been racing in his younger day and after a small injury took to dressage and had been doing quite well, but as you can imagine Percy is grilling him about what he has done and what percentages he has got etc etc… honestly, hates a bit of competition, I think he doesn’t like the fact that he is bay too and he may get confused with him.
We kicked the end of 2008 off with a trip to Sussex and a jumping clinic with an up and coming rider, Francis Whittington, I know all about him cos I get Evening Magazine every month and knew that he won the FEI Qualifier at Burnham Market in 2008 so was really chuffed that I could show off in front off him for an hour, although it goes without saying, that Percy claimed to have never heard of him and wasn’t too pleased to be pulled out for a day jumping when he could have been at home doing his Yoga on the wii, and promptly dumped mum in front of an oxer, he told me if she had been riding him properly she wouldn’t have come off, but Tilly was on his session and said he did it on purpose. I hope mum sticks him in for an Advanced Medium class soon, that should shut him up.
The weather at the moment is putting a hold on some serious work as its so cold that the school has frozen over and we are all confined to trotting round on a small circle which isn’t covered in snow, sometime we get to walk out but have to dodge the ice patches, so things are quite boring for us, there isn’t quite enough snow to build snowhorses or to go sledging on so lets hope it warms up soon and we can get on with some serious work, after all, in 2 months the eventing season starts and I need to be fit and ready for that! I guess if all else fails I could always nick the wii and use the wii fit board for some intense training indoors.
Hope you all keep warm in the big chill and will speak to you soon.
LOL B xx
Time to hang up the stud holes and put on the sombero…

Hello all,
Well, we have had a quiet week or 2, mum completely burnt herself out the last time out and laid herself up with a cold so we ended up having some time off which was nice and quite welcomed, cos I was really tired so it was nice just to mooch round the field and hang out with the guys and girls and catch up on the latest. Even Pip had some time out but did manage to get up really early one morning and went out clubbing again! According to her mum she had that tickle in her tail again, she should tuck it away in her handbag and dance round it like the other girls do! She did have a great time cos they didn’t get back til late morning. Apparently the big day is on the 1st November and all she has talked about since, is what she is going to wear.
Bert and Boysi have been chilling out whilst Tilly has been curling up her lashes and came 2nd in a school eventers challenge last week and strutted her heels in dressage this week and notched up a well earnt 5th place, she just had to prove that she can do dressage and SHE CAN!! I do miss her when she goes out tho, she is really good company and i love our chats in the evening. She’s not like all the others……
Chloe and Ruby have been showjumping, no real reports on that, but did overhear their mum saying she was going to take up dressage….OMG! Chloe will pack up her feed bowl and head off back to the continent whilst Ruby will just get on with with, but do her test REALLY FAST!!
Anyhow, me and Percy have been back to work this week, but so it seems not for long… can’t believe it, we are off to Espana!! So excited, i’ve packed already! Percy has waxed his bikini and his back, god how gross is he, he has also had a pedicure, and bling put on his nails, Pippa told him too… bet his thong has bling too. He has even asked to borrow Tillys curling tongs! Just as long as he remembers his adapter plug.. I’ve bought myself a phrase book and can now order beers, wine and can even ask for the toilet so that should cover all eventualities. Its just mum and the boys on tour this time, but i understand she has never driven across the border so we could end up anywhere which could even be jail if she doesn’t drive on the right side of the road….
So it just leaves me to say ‘Adios’ and finish packing my saddle bag with my sun cream and hat, although I will be purchasing the obligtry straw one from Torremalinos when we pass through. Percy thinks i’m euro trash…. he has seen nothing yet!! Hope you all stay well. lol B xx
mixed weather ends the season and percy’s hat is truely blown off…

Hello all,
Hope the end of the event season finds you all well, we have had a busy finish, what with mum taking the two of us out, it has been quite hetic at home but I do understand that I will be getting a few weeks off for a well deserved rest, well, I think its well deserved and I don’t give a stuff what anyone else thinks.
We have had mixed weather in the past couple of weeks and mum was well glad she got Emma to ride me at Coombelands, cos man, we rode in a monsoon, not that it bothered me coming from Ireland but old ‘Lawrenece Llewelyn Bowen’ from next door was well put out. However he did manage to keep all four feet on the floor for the dressage which is a surprise, but I do think he was feeling a bit in charge of mum seeing as though she was quite lame on her off fore with 2nd degree burns and really shouldn’t have been riding anyway. I think she only took him cos of his success at Chilham and she thought he was on a roll…. silly woman. Me and Aunty Em? Well, what can I say? Only 2 down show jumping, extremely unusual for me, but was quite nice not having the passenger interfering with me, and I only had the last one down, cos I didn’t really realise it was there. Then a faultless xc round. Easy. Percy? Well, was comfertably in the top 4 til the ditch arrived at fence 8… it wasn’t even a ditch, it was a divot. Poor mum, a good soaking for nothing. Percy said that his event hat got blown off cos of the wind, more like his milk of human kindness was a bit waterlogged. Bert had a good day and he only stopped cos he said that Percy had poked his head over the fence and stuck his tongue out as he came to the tyres which took his eye off the game, trust P to mess his round up too.
So the following week was a bit of a drill for us both with mum back on board and the very last event for us coming up at Borde Hill. A final lesson from Aunty S with some serious jumping going on and once again we were off at 8am on Saturday on a lovely sunny day. I managed a personal best at the dressage, but there were so many shops around the show jumping arena, I just couldn’t resist peeking at the new seasons stock and we took four out, I did make it up by another clear xc, even though we both shut our eyes at the ditch and brush, cos it was well big. Once again ’Darcy Bussell’ got her tights in a tangle and mum retired him before they even got half way round the xc. I did hearsay that no more would he event and he was very smug all the way home, he said that I should behave the same and then I could get time out from eventing. Thing is, I quite like it though. Here’s to next year.
Chloe and Ruby have been out brushing up on their showjumping and have been out to Staplehurst and then up to Luton for a session, they do get around those girls, Chloe has had her haircut this week and P just cannot take his eyes off her. Pip has been socialising at hunter trials, tis the season to be hunting and her and Tilly are discussing the latest fashion for Autumn rugs, whilst Ruby is modelling them. Brandy had a bit of a stumble out on a hack and got a sore knee, she really should slow down at her age, she still thinks she is 6. I understand that she is getting a haircut soon, I do hope that Percy doesn’t flirt with her too, I think Chloe feels quite attached to him and not sure how she would take it.
Well, i’m off to catch up on my horsebook page and finally some zzz’s. lol B xx
Blisters, a Haircut and an unusual day out planned…..
Posted October 3, 2008 by hallidayvickyCategories: Uncategorized
Hello all,
I write this blog from under the covers of my straw bed cos its very late and I should really be asleep and I’ve got some curlers in my hair which means i’m off somewhere tomorrow and its probably going to very early! Also, if they are going to be in that long, it means one thing………. yes, I will be a James Brown lookalike by the time I go cross country.
Well, a funny week really, Pippa kept us awake most of last weekend cos she had a fab couple of days dressaging, quite funny really, Percy had been giving her a few pointers and was quite pleased for her with her placings, but the moment she overstepped the mark on the bragging he plugged into his ipod and listened to Nickelback, very loudly, apparantly he would like to do some prancing to them, not very BD me thinks.
Ruby was whisked off to a cross country course on the Sunday with her Nanny, Chloe, and had a lovely afternoon in the sun, but she was very tired on Sunday evening, we didn’t hear of her day out till Monday night when she had recovered a bit, I think she enjoyed it, but she is not thinking of a long term career in it. Just as well really, couldn’t do with her coming out to party with me, god, how distracting! Bert went out with mummy kate on Sunday and had a little pop round xc to gain some confidence after Chilham, he was quite upbeat when he got back. Everyone else stayed at home, winter beckons as the social diary starts to cool off.
Well, me and Percy had a very quiet weekend, our silly mum had a bit of an accident on the Friday afternoon and appeared Saturday morning with several plastic bags wrapped round her foot, it was sooo scarey, I really thought she was being eaten by a sainsburys bag from the feet upwards, it gave me nightmares til Tuesday til I realised her leg was still there. Then we have been ridden by Emma and Kate all week! However, mum was back on Percy today and it has been decided that this weekend that I will be ridden by Emma but mum feels more confident on Percy for our day out tomorrow. So, a first for me. Being ridden by someone with extremely long legs….. when she squeezes I can’t breathe. I wonder if she will wear her red dress??!! Anyway they managed to get some of my coat off, I was very hot, but was there really any need to do it? Percy got everything taken off, can’t understand why he is so cool about it, it really tickles me. Pips naked too, she is Percy’s ‘mini me’.
Lovely to hear from our neighbours this week. Don’t get to see much of Harry and Ted but we do chat to each other over the hedges, Ted is full of fabulous stories of Fairlawn and Harry is just full of really scarey stories of eventing, think he is just trying to put me off. Doesn’t he know that Percy does that anyway? And that mad old Garfield from Hildenborough, he is so naughty, maybe he will drop by soon for a ginger ninja natter. Glad to see that the large black lady did her thing, bit like the tortise and the hare…..
Well, my hot chocolate beckons and Al Murray is on the telly then its off to bed. Speak to you all soon. lol B xx
Percy returns triumphant from Bejing Castle, while I walk home up the M20…..

Hello all,
Again, I have to apologise for the late arrival of my blog this week, but it was down to my appalling behaviour on Sunday………. my mum took my laptop away and I only just got it back. In fact, she gave it to Percy to write this weeks blog instead of me, but on checking up on the blog page and finding nothing there, mum did a bit of investigating and found he had been shopping on-line, with her credit card and been surfing HorseQuest looking at all the mares! Pervert. So he is now in the horse house and I am reprieved for a while!
I guess the first piece of news is that Percy won his section at Sundays one day event at Chilham Castle. Mum had put him in the baby class for a bit of a day out to give him some fun and boost his confidence, and the old devil only walked away with a huge shield and large fluffy red rosette. God, he has harped on about it since, he even took Chloe out with his winnings on Monday evening, but if Mum finds out, he is well in trouble. Its so easy for him to get a dressage of 29.5 while most of us would be grateful for nice round score in the mid 30′s. Then he jumps a double clear. Anyway, he could have walked over them, they are so small. My problem started when he left me for the dressage, i was so worried he wasn’t coming back that I had to try and get off the lorry to run after him. I tried the scarey rearing up thing but they just shouted at me. So I waited till mum was sitting on the porta loo next door and really gave the connecting wall some welly with my off hind…… they soon got me off the lorry. I thought that it would be easy after that. I spun lots on the end of my lead rein when I was tied up and did the bucking thing until he returned. I was pooped by time he got back from cross country and just when I thought it was all over, they tacked me up! Then I had to do the dressage thing! I was so cross that mum and Percy had left me for such a long time, I decided to let her know how cross I actually was, which in hindsight was a pretty silly thing to do…… I bucked… lots, with my head between my knees….. then when I knew she was still on top….. I did it all again……………… I then got worked in for 1 hour and 15 minutes….. god I was so tired going down that centre line I nearly fell over the clover. But hey, got my best score to date! 34!!! It did go unnoticed on my behalf cos my eyes were shut. Which was probably the reason why I had 3 show jumps down.. and that stop I had cross country was because when I opened my eyes again, there was a HUGE GREEN DRAGON behind the arrowhead. I was going to jump it, but then it roared at me so I tried to head home instead. After my bottom was smacked, several times, I thought it looked ok to jump and stormed to the finish… Sorry mum. Pulborough in a couple of weeks. I have written out my lines of ‘MUST DO BETTER’ 100 times, said 100 hail marys to keep dad happy, and the worst punishment has been listening to Percy all week…….. it will be short lived cos bet he dumps her in Sussex.
Bert didn’t fair much better at Chilham, he gets very nervy, he is still under therepy from the P2P counsellor, he was doing fine, but guess he has just had minor relapse. Although I don’t think his mum thinks is was minor, I saw her bruises on Tuesday… and lovely lovely Tilly, a dressage of 42, 1 blip show jumping and she whizzed past me when i was in the start box at the end of her faultless round……. WHAT A WOMAN!
The rest of them? Well, Brandy is just glad to have swapped fields and is still gorging on what is in the winter patch, Boysi’s x-rays have come back clear, so he can get over himself and stop whinning. We are all out of sympathy for him! Pip’s had a weekend off, just as well really, could you imagine her AND Percy harping on all night, nightmare or wot?! Chloe was due out for a party this weekend but her treatment has kicked in and she is feeling very sore and sorry for herself, Percy cheered her up. Ruby missed out going out to party as well, so is bitching, she would have been bitching if she’d have gone out anyway. She is so high maintenance that one.
Big news on the doggie front too.. Foxy Lady had her pups Saturday afternoon! It was a bit of chaos on the yard and the baby got left with the liveries….. they were lucky it was only for half an hour or so, I’ve known mum disappear for a fortnight if she thinks someone will have the kids.
Anyway, I’m off to bed. Not long till the next blog will be due and I need to hide Percy’s shopping bags from mum before she arrives on the yard tomorrow. Lol B xx
The Swallows have Flown and Pippa does the Showgirl Tour at Redlands….

Hello all, sorry the blog is a bit late this week, had to sit up and watch Pippa prancing round in her feathers last night…. saucy little minx. She had been to the end of season show at 7Oaks and cleaned up in the show hunter classes, not only that, but she had won the championship too! I say well done to her, but blimey, she really does go on! Flippin, 2am this morning before she shut up, even Tilly made her excuses and went to get her coco whilst she was ranting on, Percy couldn’t even entertain her….. It wasn’t such a happy day for my Aunty Nic Nac and if I ever see that Ginger Ninja again he will get a right slap. Apparently Pip is off clubbing again this week, don’t know where she gets the energy from.
Talking of Percy, he spent all night gazing at Chloe, they had been out together up to the woods, he had got a bit over excited and strutted his stuff a bit but after climbing up that hill all Chloe wanted was a cab to take her home again, she was the only one this morning who couldn’t get excited about our new fields, even Ruby doing handstands all round the paddock couldn’t raise a smile.
3 of them had the vet today, Percy and Tilly for their yearly jabs and poor old Boysi has had an infection in his leg so had to have a check up, apparently he is going to have an xray, but get this, they are bringing the equipment to the yard! Marvellous what they can do these days, I remember my grandad in Ireland telling me of the days out he would have having xrays and now they bring it all to you! Wicked! We can all watch.
Well, me, Bert, Percy and Tilly are getting ready for a big day out on Sunday, yes, Percy is going eventing, I think my mum has completely lost it, lets hope she gets me round before she has to get on him, he has so much self preservation that he doesn’t give a stuff about his passenger. It will all end in tears…… I’m looking forward to another event and Bert and Tilly are looking forward to getting out too. Hope mum packs a picnic. Chloe and Rubes are out this weekend too, but I get the feeling that they think eventing is far too energetic and the show jumping is much classier than galloping round a muddy field. They are probably right…..
Brandy has had a weekend off, her mum has been up to see an old friend of ours, Delilah, she is looking good actually and you know what they say about the older woman! I wouldn’t mind giving her a whizz round my paddock I can tell you!
Welll, the sad news of the week is the swallows have gone, and we all know what that means, clippers and rugs….. which means another visit from the vet and some drugs…. Super!
Dear old Tom is havin a rough time in the wind and the rain, but Doo Doo has scouted Milletts for him and has bought him a new outfit, hope it arrives in time for the rain and more importantly that she got the right size for him.
Gorgeous, don’t you think? Although not sure the colour suits but who would give a stuff whilst it blows a hooley.
Well, heres to another week and hope its a good one for you all. Lol B xx
a right royal chav telling off and Percy does Burghley…

Hello everyone,
Extremely full week this week. Don’t know where to start really! Firstly an apology to Doo Doo, or aka Durkje…. I will call you Doo Doo cos I’m OBVIOUSLY dyslexic like Jess so I now know why you are known as Doo Doo, its so damm easy to spell. Being Irish bred I don’t know the score on tongue tatoos. Where I come from they are chav, obviously where she comes from they are the ‘in thing’ like Ariat boots and a Newmarket Rug. I have something more exclusive than a tatoo, but I’m not letting on….. Talking of rugs, dear old Pippa reminding me of clipping, my pet hate, its so ticklish, I just can’t bear it, love my rugs tho, so stylish….
With the schools going back this week was time for my mum to get to work full time (ish!) and seeing her first thing in the morning sent my heart rate up a notch or 5, however, it wasn’t too long before I realised that I do get my quota in the field and actually, she always has the odd treat in her pocket so she is quite welcome in my book! Percy was the first one out this week, and boy didn’t we know it! After mum checked comments on my blog, she felt that he needed a trip out… not quite what he was thinking off, cos she took him to Matfield which is our local cross country course, ha ha….. Apparently he did ok, he did ALL this ditches, his pet hate! And both him and mum came home with big grins on their faces. He is such a nightmare to live with tho, he does reckon that one of the ditches he did was exactly like the Landrover Hollow at Burghley and just went on and on when we watched the highlights on Sunday. Congrats to Tam, wasn’t he just fab! Its my ambition to have his enthusiasum and I really hope it kicks in for next year. Pip went out clubbing the following day, daft if you ask me, don’t get the getting up really early lark just for a boogie, according to her mum, she had a ‘tickle in her tail’ is that a kind of dance? She went on about it for days. She gets right on my withers.
With all the wet weather this week, a lot of entertainment was cancelled this weekend, but Bert managed to get out for a spot of XC with the newly wed who couldn’t wait to get out in the saddle after lots of pasta and wine in Italy. According to his mum when she got back, he was a bit sticky, what does she expect with all that pasta??
Boysi is laid up with an infection in his leg, but is on the road to recovery rather than on the road to the vets, much to the relief of Alices’ mum. All the girls have had a quiet week but think that the diary is starting to get busy for them before the end of the month, I think Chilham will be a yard outing, so lets hope its a successful one too.
We all send our thoughts, flippers and snorkles to poor old Tom, Sam and Teddy after the awful floods in the North East, but after watching the News I think we should be sending them wet suits and oxygen tanks, Tom should pack up his feed bowls and get his quarters back down south. He could go clubbing with Pippa and show her a move or two!
Well, here’s to a drier week this week and hope you all manage keep on kicking until next weekend, I’m off to watch the ‘Burghley After Show Party’ on terrestrial tv. Apparently Shaabrak is a right scream if he has too much HorseHage, classic entertainment. lol B xx
